Two STF personnel injured in IED blast in Chhattisgarh
Bijapur: Two Indian personnel of the Special Task Force (STF) were injured in a blast in the violence-hit Chhattisgarh state in India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the STF personnel, Shivlal Mandavi and Mithlesh Markam, were critically injured when a pressure improvised explosive device (IED) planted by Naxalites exploded in Bijapur district, police said.
The incident occurred in a forest in Itwar village under the Gangaloor police station area when a team of personnel was out on a search operation, a police official said.
The two personnel were shifted to a local hospital, and their condition was reported to be out of danger, the official said. A search operation was underway in the area, he added.
