Indian troops arrest three youth in Baramulla
Srinagar: Indian troops conducted a cordon and search operation in Baramulla district, today, resulting in the arrest of three youth.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation, carried out jointly by Indian army and police, targeted the youth on the charge of being involved in ‘anti-election’ activities particularly in the context of the upcoming Indian Parliamentary elections.
The youth, identified as Owais Ahmad Waza, Basit Fayaz Kaloo, and Faheem Ahmad Mir, were detained in Old Baramulla town.
The arrests come amidst heightened stringent measures in the territory. Further details are awaited.
