Non-Kashmiri vendor killed by unknown gunmen in IIOJK
Srinagar: Unidentified gunmen killed a non-Kashmiri vendor in Islamabad district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the non-Kashmiri identified as Raja Shah, son of Shankar of Bihar, India, was shot at and critically injured from point blank range in Bijbehara area of the district. He was shifted to a hospital in Bijbehara in very serious condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
According to officials, the deceased sustained two gunshot wounds, one in the neck and the other in the abdomen.
Following the attack, the Indian forces’ personnel launched a massive cordon and search operation in the area after sealing all entry and exit points.
“He was a vendor by profession. We are investigating and a massive search operation to nab the attackers is underway”, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vidhi Kumar Birdi told media.
Meanwhile, Indian troops during another cordon and search operation arrested two youth in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district. In order to justify the arrests, Indian police claimed that two suspected individuals have been apprehended along with the recovery of weapons and ammunition.
