Kashmiri employee suspended for refusal to perform polls duty in IIOJK

Srinagar: The BJP installed administration in occupied Jammu and Kashmir suspended a government employee for his refusal to perform duty during Indian Lok Sabha elections.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the IIOJK administration took action against Javid Ahmad Sofi, a government employee in Srinagar, for what it called the breach of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) guidelines for Indian parliamentary polls.

The first phase of the seven phase Indian Lok Sabha election 2024 began on Friday (today) on 102 parliamentary constituencies across the country. The next phases of voting will be held on April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1. Counting will be held on June 4.
