Civilians being targeted in massive search operation by Indian troops
Srinagar: Civilian population, living in surrounding areas of Bandipora forest area, is being targeted under the garb of a search operation launched by Indian forces in Bandipora district of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian troops, paramilitary forces and police are taking part in the operation and civilians, living in forest areas, are being harassed and tortured.
Police wrote on ‘X’ platform that the search operation was started after unknown men attacked the troops in Renji forest area of Aragam in the district.
The area was cordoned off and a search operation was started by troops which was going on till the filing of the report.
Meanwhile, reports said helicopters have been pressed into service while more forces have been rushed to the spot.
