Vote to protect democracy from clutches of dictatorship, Congress president to Indians
New Delhi: Amidst the ongoing parliamentary elections in India, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, indirectly referring to Modi’s authoritarian rule, has urged voters to come out and vote to protect democracy from the clutches of dictatorship.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in his message on X, Mallikarjun Karge said this is not an ordinary election and people should not be swayed by any diversionary tactics and lies.
He said the Constitution should reverberate in voters’ hearts before they push to voting button, adding, “I welcome each one of you in this movement for Democracy”.
“Do not forget that this is not an ordinary election. It is an election to protect Democracy from the clutches of dictatorship,” he said.
