Three SPOs fired for negligence and drug offenses in IIOJK
Srinagar: Three Special Police Officers (SPOs) have been dismissed from service for dereliction of duty and their involvement in violations of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in Samba district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the SPOs, namely Daljeet Singh, Bali Ram, and Deepak Singh, have been relieved from their duties following the conclusion of two separate departmental inquiries initiated against them and other officials in 2023, as confirmed by officials.
Daljeet Singh and Bali Ram faced arrest in connection with a murder case registered at the Ramgarh police station, subsequently escaping from police custody. They were dismissed from service due to their neglect of duties, stated the officials.
In a separate incident, Deepak Singh’s dismissal from service was attributed to his involvement in a case registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at the Samba police station, according to the officials.
