Man dies of electrocution in Budgam due to negligence by PDD
Srinagar: A 41-year-old man died on Thursday due to electric shock while cutting grass at his land in Beerwah area of Budgam district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), officials said.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the official of the PDD told media that the man received electric shock when he suddenly came in contact with a live wire. “He was immediately rushed to a nearby health centre, where he was pronounced dead,” he said.
Meanwhile, People of the area held a protest outside the hospital premises, alleging negligence on part of PDD as transmission lines are lying low, which are a threat to lives.
The official said that police have taken cognizance of the incident.
