Pakistan stands by struggling Kashmiris, PM Shehbaz told APHC-AJK delegation
Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif reiterating his country’s commitment to continue political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiris engaged in the struggle for right to self-determination has said that the hearts of the people of Pakistan beat with their Kashmiri brothers.
According to Kashmir Media Service, PM Shehbaz Sharif Minister expressed these views during a meeting with the delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, who called on him in Muzaffarabad, today.
The APHC-AJK delegation comprised Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, Ghulam Mohammad Safi, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Altaf Hussain Wani, Altaf Ahmad Butt, Imtiaz Wani, Syed Ejaz Rahmani and Zahid Ashraf. AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar were also present on this occasion.
PM Shehbaz Sharif said that the people of Pakistan were standing shoulder to shoulder with their Kashmiri brothers in the just struggle for the right to self-determination. He said that the future of Jammu and Kashmir should be decided in line with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. The Prime Minister said India can never run away from its international obligations under the guise of so-called legislation and judicial decisions.
He further said that in order to present the case of Kashmir in a better way at the international level, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pakistan’s missions abroad will enhance their connections with international think tanks and media organizations. He said that the voice of Kashmiri diaspora can prove to be very effective for highlighting the Kashmir cause.
The APHC-AJK leaders briefed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about the ground situation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They thanked him for Pakistan’s moral, political and diplomatic support to the struggling Kashmiris.
