Ex-sarpanch killed, tourist couple injured in IIOJK
Srinagar: Unidentified gunmen killed a former Sarpanch in Shopian district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the former Sarpach, Aijaz Sheikh, was killed by unknown gunmen from a close range in the Hurpora area of the district.
Indian forces have launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
On the other hand, a shopkeeper, identified as Fayaz Ahmad Dar (32), was stabbed to death at his shop in Perpora, Kachan area of Ganderbal district.
Meanwhile, two tourists were injured after attackers fired upon them in the Yannar area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district.
The injured were from Jaipur, India, identified as Tabrez and a woman, Farha.
