Indian BSF constable among 2 drown in Tawi River in Jammu
Jammu: Two young men, including an Indian Border Security Force (BSF) constable, drowned in Tawi River in Jammu district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, BSF constable Abhishek Thakur (20), and Rajinder Singh (19), went to take a bath in the river where they drowned in Kishenpur area under the jurisdiction of Jhajjar Kotli Police Station of the district.
The incident came to light when locals noticed their clothes on the riverbank and approached police for help, a police official said.
He said Rajinder’s body has been handed over to his family after completing the medico-legal formalities while the search for BSF constable, Abhishek Thakur, who was on a 15-day leave, is still on.
