Dr Fai highlights Pakistan’s role as global advocate for Kashmiri cause
Islamabad: Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, an American-based Kashmiri scholar and Secretary General of the Kashmir Awareness Forum, expressed gratitude to Pakistan, its people, and the people of Azad Kashmir for their support of the Kashmiri freedom movement.
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at an event organized by the National Press Club Islamabad, Dr. Fai highlighted the significant demonstration held in the US on August 5, 2019, against India’s revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, which saw participation from over 35,000 people, mostly from Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
Dr. Fai emphasized Pakistan’s role as a global advocate for the Kashmiri cause. He also warned of the BJP’s attempts to undermine Islamic education in Kashmir.
The National Press Club awarded Dr. Fai honorary membership and presented him with a shield for his efforts.
