Farmers in Haryana vow to block BJP candidate ex-CM’s entry to Lok Sabha
Chandigarh: Sikh farmers in Haryana are determined to block the entry of BJP candidate and former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar into the Lok Sabha.
According to Kashmir Media Service, farmers in Haryana’s Karnal parliamentary constituency are vehemently opposing Khattar due to the BJP’s handling of the farm agitation. Many farmers, particularly Sikhs, are pledging to prevent Khattar from entering their villages and are expressing strong criticism of the BJP’s actions during the protests.
The upcoming voting on May 25 will witness a direct contest between Khattar and Congress candidate Divyanshu Budhiraja.
The farmers’ resentment towards Khattar and the BJP is evident, with many holding the party responsible for the deaths of farmers during the agitation. “We won’t allow him to set foot on our soil,” stated Tehal Singh Virk, a farmer from Sheikhupura village. Gurbachan Singh from Ratak village echoed similar sentiments, saying, “We will protest vigorously to ensure he doesn’t reach the Lok Sabha.”
