Kashmiris will never give up freedom movement: Saghar
Islamabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter Convener Mahmood Ahmed Saghar has said that the Kashmiri people are still making sacrifices and the entire freedom-loving leadership is detained in various Indian jails, including infamous Tihar jail.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mahmood Ahmed Saghar in a media interview in Islamabad said the Kashmiri people have rendered lakhs of lives in the struggle and will never give up the freedom movement.
He said, “Pakistan is our support and it is because of Pakistan’s efforts that resolutions are passed in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, for which we are grateful to it.”
Mehmood Saghar said as far as the issue of Kashmir is concerned, it is still on the agenda of the United Nations. Kashmiri people will not give up their freedom movement, he added. He said after August 5, 2019, there is a need to speed up diplomacy to counter Indian aggression in the occupied territory.
He said that the parliamentary elections in IIOJK are nothing but pretense, adding no wise person will accept these elections as it is being held in the presence of one million Indian soldiers.
Mehmood Saghar said the official policy of Pakistan is that Kashmir is a conflict and the Kashmiri people have been recognized as the main party in the United Nations.
He said the Kashmiri people have been fighting against India for the past 76 years and Azad Jammu and Kashmir has the status of a base camp so that it can use all its resources for the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir.
