APHC-AJK hails PM Shehbaz, COAS Asif Munir for their Kashmir remarks

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has hailed the recent statements of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir regarding the occupied Jammu and Kashmir which have further encouraged the Kashmiris struggling for their right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK chapter Convener Mahmood Ahmad Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad said Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and General Syed Asim Munir in their speeches yesterday reiterated to continue their moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris.

He said Pakistan has given a clear message to India to stop lying on Kashmir as Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory whose final status is yet to be determined.

Mahmood Sagar emphasized the need for a quick and amicable solution to the Kashmir dispute and said a just solution to the Kashmir dispute is indispensable for the establishment of sustainable peace in South Asia.

He said the Prime Minister and the Army Chief in their addresses had further said that India’s occupation of Jammu and Kashmir was illegal.

Mahmood Saghar hoped that the government of Pakistan would take all necessary steps at the international level to thwart India’s efforts to change the Muslim majority identity of Jammu and Kashmir.

He appealed to the international community to play its role in resolving the Kashmir issue to ensure sustainable peace in South Asia.
