Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference strongly condemning the recent blasphemous incident at the Government Medical College in Srinagar said that no Muslim can tolerate such disrespectful action.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a non-local Hindu student studying at the Government Medical College in Srinagar posted the sacrilegious content against the Prophet (pbuh) on social media. College students and doctors held a strong protest against the derogatory post the other day and demanded strict action against the guilty student.
APHC leaders including jailed Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, Mohammad Yusuf Naqash, Maulana Musaib Nadvi, Farida Behanji, Fayaz Hussain Jafri, Sibte Shabbir Qumi, Imtiyaz Rishi, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, Hifza Banu and others in their statements in Srinagar have demanded severe punishment for the guilty student, stating that the incident has hurt the feelings of Muslims worldwide.
The APHC leaders emphasized the honor and respect of the Prophet of Islam (pbuh) is dearer to Muslims than their own lives and such heinous acts are unacceptable to them and will never be tolerated, at any cost.
They said the India’s Hindutva government is trying to hurt the religious sentiments of Kashmiri Muslims, every now and then, under a premeditated agenda, citing examples of mosques being locked, prayers being disallowed and religious gathering being banned from time to time. They maintained that at times animal sacrifices are also prohibited on the occasion of Eid-ul- al-Adha, terming such acts on the part of Modi regime as a clear interference in religious affairs of the Kashmiri Muslims.
At the same time, they highlighted the double standards of New Delhi, which allows Hindus to perform their religious rituals freely in the occupied territory and even providing all facilities to millions of Indian Hindu pilgrims who come to the occupied valley for the Amarnath Yatra, while restricting the religious freedom of Kashmiri Muslims.
The APHC leaders urged the occupation authorities to immediately arrest the guilty Hindu student and give him exemplary punishment, ensuring that such shameful incidents are not repeated in the future.
Meanwhile, senior APHC leader and Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Chairman, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemning the blasphemous act demanded that the culprit must be booked under stricter law for making disparaging comments about the Prophet
