IIOJK High Court quashes illegal detention of 3 Kashmiris booked under PSA
Srinagar: The High Court in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has quashed illegal detention of three innocent Kashmiris booked under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA).
According to Kashmir Media Service, Justice Sanjay Dhar while holding all the three PSAs as illegal quashed the same with the direction to the occupation authorities to release the detainees from the preventive custody. The detainees have been identified as Ajaz Ahmad Dar, Adil Ahmad Paul and Mohammad Amin Banday.
The court, however, upheld the PSA of one, Aqib Ahmad Renzu.
Dar, Pual and Renzu were detained by District Magistrate Srinagar in May 2023, August 2022 and October 2023 respectively, while Banday was detained by the authorities in July 2023.
