Srinagar: A teenage girl hanged herself to death in her home at Harwan area of Srinagar late on Thursday evening, the police officials said.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the officials revealed that an 18-year-old girl (name withheld) hanged herself to death at her home in Harwan Srinagar yesterday evening.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigations to find out the reasons that forced the girl to take extreme steps.
