Youth’s death in Bandipora road accident sparks protest
Srinagar: The death of a 20-year-old youth in an accident sparked protests by his relatives against the hospital administration in Bandipora district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Aashiq Hussain Lone, a resident of Watpora village, Bandipora, died when the tractor he was driving overturned. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. However, the hospital administration delayed the postmortem, keeping the body for several hours, which postponed the last rites.
The family and relatives of the deceased strongly protested against the hospital management and doctors for their inappropriate behavior and the delay in the postmortem.
When the relatives went to file a complaint at the Medical Superintendent (MS) office, the guards misbehaved with them and pushed them, further angering the family. The protesters demanded action from higher authorities against the hospital administration, doctors, and the MS.
