Massive fire engulfs Srinagar’s locality, leaves trail of destruction
Srinagar: A devastating fire broke out in the Malaratta area of Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, today, reducing a mosque and several houses to ashes.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the blaze, which started in the afternoon, quickly spread to adjacent buildings, gutting at least half a dozen houses and a mosque. The fire brigade is attempting to contain the fire.
The extent of the damage is being assessed.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is under investigation.
The incident has left many families homeless, with several others affected by the fire.
