Hindutva extremists assault Christians, family forced to renounce faith in India
Raipur: In a chilling incident, Hindutva militants affiliated with the RSS and Bajrang Dal attacked a Christian family in Chhattisgarh, forcing them to renounce their faith.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the family was assaulted, and their fields were seized in Jagdalpur village. The victims, including women and minor girls, were beaten, detained, and coerced into signing a statement renouncing Christianity.
This incident is part of a larger trend of rising intolerance, with over 200 hate crimes targeting Christians reported in the first three months of 2024.
The United Christian Forum has documented at least 23 cases of violence against Christians in the past week alone. The situation demands urgent attention and intervention to ensure the safety and religious freedom of minority communities.
