Two Indian BSF personnel, including officer, die in separate incidents
New Delhi,: Two Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, including an officer, died in separate incidents in India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, BSF Sub Inspector Rajbir Singh of the 100 Bn BSF stationed in the Garo Hills sector of Meghalaya’s border, lost his life after being attacked by a wild herd of elephants while on duty in Dalu region, West Garo Hills.
The officer was supervising the border road early in the morning when the elephants unexpectedly charged at him, resulting in fatal injuries.
In another incident, D Samuel (59), a BSF personnel from Kerala deployed near Barmer in Rajasthan, died during treatment after his health deteriorated. Samuel, serving in the 13th battalion, had recently returned to duty following a month’s leave.
