Police remand of IIOJK HC Bar Association ex-chief extended by 6 days
Jammu: The police remand of Mian Abdul Qayoom, a prominent lawyer and former president of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association, was extended by six days by an Indian National Investigation Authority (NIA) court in Jammu on Monday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Advocate Mian Qayoom was arrested by Indian police during a house raid in Srinagar on June 25. The Indian police arrested him in a fake case.
Abdul Qayoom is being targeted for his pro-freedom approach, his colleagues said.
