Kashmiri youth from AJK, IIOJK term Burhan as beacon of light for freedom loving
Islamabad: To pay homage to martyr Burhan Muzaffar Wani on the occasion of his 8th martyrdom anniversary, the Friends of Kashmir International (FoKI) organized a Webinar to highlight the Indian brutalities perpetuated in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service the Webinar was attended by large number of people with especially young generation from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and IIOJK through ‘X’ platform former twitter, to pay glowing tributes to a youthful martyr who laid down his life for the sacred cause of freedom.
The speakers expressed their views on martyrdom of Burhan Wani and other Kashmiri martyrs who rendered supreme sacrifices for freedom of IIOJK. Martyr Burhan Wani gave a new life into the freedom movement of Kashmir and he beacon of light for Kashmiri youth.
In the era of social media, his prominent role in the freedom movement has emerged as supreme and it is need of hour to highlight it with full force to apprise world about Kashmir dispute, said FoKI Vice Chairman Abdul Hameed Lone while addressing the participants of the Webinar.
He said that the war of Kashmir is actually a war of ideology and Burhan Wani was also engaged in the struggle of this ideology. “We are also struggling for the completion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s Pakistan and complete the unfinished agenda of partition of Sub-Continent.
He was of the view that today time has proved that the vision of Quaid-i-Azam was true, as Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti have also come to the conclusion that Modi’s India is not sympathetic to Muslims. Modi is committing genocide in Occupied Kashmir and he wants to eradicate us from the roots and destroy the Muslim majority identity of Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
He asked the Kashmiri youth to play their part to destroy the heinous ambitions of Modi. The international community should play its role in resolving the Kashmir issue.
Besides, FoKI Vice Chairman Abdul Hameed Lone others prominent who attended the Webinar were Javed Ahmed Sheikh and Faisal. Other Kashmiri activists Sana Iqbal and Maria Butt.
