Sardar Abdul Qayoom remembered on his death anniversary
Islamabad:The Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Muhammad Safi has paid glowing tributes to former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Abdul Qayoom Khan on his death anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Muhammad Safi addressing a function here in connection with the death anniversary of Sardar Abdul Qayoom Khan said he worked hard for the freedom movement, adding the life of such personalities is a beacon for the political class.
Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir Dr Mushtaq addressing the function said that Sardar Abdul Qayoom Khan did great work for the Kashmir freedom movement and added that he was a great personality. Sardar Qayoom also participated in practical jihad, he maintained.
Dr Mushtaq said the practical struggle of the Mujahid-e-Awwal against Dogra rule is commendable.
Secretary, Presidential Affairs Dr Idris Abbasi on the occasion, said Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan’s struggle for the Kashmir freedom movement will be written in golden words in history.
Secretary Presidential Affairs Dr Idris Abbasi, paying tributes to former President and Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Abdul Qayyum Khan,.said he created a unique position in every department.
Other speakers, including Sardar Abdul Raziq Advocate, Imtiyaz Naseem, Idrees Abbasi, Sardar Asim Abbasi and Sarwar Hussain Gilgiti, threw light on the services and contribution of Sardar Abdul Qayoom Khan for the Kashmir freedom movement.
