Hindutva mob attacks Hindu Sadhus mistaken for Muslims in UP
New Delhi: Three Hindu men, posing as Sadhus, were assaulted by a Hindutva group in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, after being mistaken for Muslims.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the victims, Sunil Kumar, Gaurav Kumar, and Gopinath, were begging in the area when they were attacked.
Police investigation found the allegations against them to be baseless, but no action was taken against the assailants.
Meanwhile, a Muslim man, Nazim, was also beaten up by a Hindutva mob in Quarsi, and a minor Muslim boy was thrashed in Banndevi after being asked his name.
