Manipur police arrest 69 suspects in raids and search operations
Imphal: In the troubled Indian state of Manipur, the state police have arrested 69 people during various raids and search operations across different districts.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the police have launched chase and search operations in various districts of the state, arresting 69 suspects under different provisions of the Indian Penal Code.
More than two hundred people were killed, and thousands were left homeless in the violence between the Meitei and Kuki tribes in the state in May last year.
A large number of Indian forces are deployed in the sensitive areas of the state, and 123 checkpoints have been established at different locations.
