Pakistan strongly condemns arrest of Kashmiris under UAPA in IIOJK
Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned the arrest of Kashmiris under the black law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for raising slogans in favor of Palestine during the Muharram procession in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch at her weekly news briefing in Islamabad today said this incident shows how easily and frequently the Indian authorities are using the black laws to terrorize and oppress the Kashmiri people.
She urged the Indian authorities to immediately close the cases against the arrested Kashmiris based on false and fabricated charges and release them immediately.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said Pakistan will continue to extend its moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris for the just and peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
