Congress leader slams BJP govt over NEET exam scam
New Delhi: In a scathing attack on the BJP government, Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition, said that the Indian education system is fraudulent and can be bought by those with money.
According to Kashmir Media Service, he made these remarks in the Lok Sabha during the Budget Session, highlighting the systemic issue of paper leaks in the NEET exams.
Gandhi questioned the Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, about the steps being taken to address the issue, stating that millions of students believe the system is corrupt. Pradhan hit back, condemning Gandhi’s statement as a “lie”.
The issue has sparked intense debate, with opposition members demanding justice for students affected by the alleged paper leak. The government has maintained that there is no evidence of a leak, despite incidents reported in the past.
The Budget Session, which began today, will focus on financial business related to the Union Budget for 2024-25, to be presented on July 23.
