IIOJK reeling under siege as Indian forces intensify military operations
Srinagar: The people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are living in a state of constant terror as Indian forces have intensified their military operations, cordon and search operations and house raids across the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, an atmosphere of fear prevails across all districts, including Srinagar, Kupwara, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Bandipore, Islamabad, Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam, Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Kishtwar, Samba, Reasi and Kathua, as Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force, Village Defence Guards, and Special Operations Group personnel lay a siege to residential areas, raid houses and conduct searches.
Residents have described the situation as “hellish”, with Indian troops and policemen barging into homes, harassing inmates, and vandalizing properties on a daily basis. At least a dozen Kashmiris have been martyred and dozens more arrested on fake charges this month, so far, alone, with many booked under draconian laws.
The All Parties Hurriyat Conference in a satement issued in Srinagar appealed to the international community to hold India accountable for its crimes in the occupied territory and resolve the Kashmir dispute as per UN resolutions.
