Indian troops arrest two youth in Kathua district
Jammu: Indian troops have arrested two Kashmiri youths in Kathua district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the arrests were made during a cordon and search operation launched by the troops in the Kandi area of the district.
Indian officials have labeled the detained youth as overground workers of freedom fighters, a common tactic used to justify such arrests.
The Indian Army has deployed over 4,000 troops, including elite para commandos and personnel trained in mountain warfare, across various areas of Jammu region. The extensive deployment aims at countering Kashmiri freedom fighters and intimidating the local population.
