NC criticizes BJP govt for failing to provide basic necessities in IIOJK
Jammu: National Conference has sharply criticized the BJP-led Indian government for neglecting the basic needs of the people in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement in Jammu, NC leader Ajay Kumar Sadhotra expressed serious concern over the erratic power supply and water scarcity, particularly during the ongoing humid and scorching monsoon season.
Sadhotra condemned the frequent and unscheduled power cuts, which have become a routine issue, leading to disruptions in water supply and causing significant inconvenience to residents. He described the IIOJK authorities’ negligence in addressing these critical issues as highly deplorable and inhuman.
He highlighted the daily ordeal faced by the people due to unscheduled power cuts, which not only disrupt lives and businesses but also essential services.
Adding to the people’s difficulties, Sadhotra pointed out the contradiction of experiencing acute power shortages and frequent unscheduled cuts, while simultaneously facing hefty electricity bills under the guise of smart meters. He criticized these measures as part of the Modi government’s anti-poor policies, arguing that they have made life unbearable for the impoverished population.
