National Conference slams Modi regime for neglecting IIOJK in budget

Srinagar:: The National Conference (NC) has criticized the Modi government for neglecting occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the budget, demanding a special budget package for the people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a public rally in Samba, NC leader Ajay Kumar Sadhotra said the regime has failed to provide basic amenities like water and electricity to the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He questioned the New Delhi’s indifference towards public issues, including acute power and water shortages, lack of medical facilities, and manpower shortages in government departments.

Sadhotra also highlighted the dismal condition of industries in the territory, stating that the regime has nothing to offer except “castles in the air.” He demanded proportionate financial support and policy changes to rejuvenate the sick industry in the territory.

National Conference Jammu president Rattan Lal Gupta echoed similar sentiments, saying the Modi government has neglected Jammu and Kashmir in the budget.
