Indian police arrest eight youth in Kathua
Jammu: Indian forces personnel have arrested eight youth in Kathua district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces personnel including Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police forces and Special Operation Group during cordon and search operations and house raids arrested eight in Ambe Naal, Bhadu, Juthana, Soffain, and Kattal areas of the district.
More than 50 local residents are under investigation for their connections with these militants, and for providing them with food, shelter, or communication assistance, a police spokesperson said.
Indian police described the detained youth as over-ground workers of militants involved in supporting the freedom struggle of Jammu and Kashmir from Indian bondage.
Meanwhile, Indian troops continued their cordon and search operations in different areas of Islamabad, Kathua , Kishtwar Doda, Udhampur, and other towns, villages and areas of the districts.
