IIOJK court quashes detention of four youth under black law PSA
Srinagar: The High Court of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir has quashed four detention orders passed under the black law Public Safety Act (PSA).
According to Kashmir Media Service, Justice Sanjay Dhar quashed the draconian PSAs of detainees Firdous Ahmad Butt, Shoaib Maqbool Sheikh, Sajad Ahmad Soliha, and Salik Khurshid Pandani. They were arrested by Indian forces personnel in Srinagar and Baramulla in 2022 for demanding plebiscite.
Meanwhile, the Principal Sessions Court of Bandipora, led by Judge Amit Sharma, rejected the bail application of a detained person in connection with a 2012 cordon and search operation in Bandipora district.
