Duplicity of Indian foreign policy evident from Ukraine visit of Modi
Islamabad: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Ukraine has exposed Indian duplicity once again.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian Prime Minister is on a two-day visit to Ukraine from Friday.
Narendra Modi is making this visit at a time when the situation of war in Ukraine is very serious. When Russia attacked the children’s hospital in Ukraine, at the same time Narendra Modi was awarded the highest honor of Russia.
This honor was recognition of Modi’s services by the Russian government, but this move has exposed Modi’s duplicity to the world.
Modi has signed nine agreements during his previous visit to Russia, one of which promised to repatriate 35 Indian nationals who were fighting for the Russian army against Ukraine.
This move shows how complicated India’s relations with Russia are while on the other hand, India is also making statements about helping Ukraine, but despite American concerns, India has also continued to buy oil from Russia.
India has also acquired S-400 missile systems from Russia, highlighting the contradictions in India’s foreign policy.
This raised questions regarding the foreign policy of Indian as Modi’s Ukraine visit is actually an opportunistic move or part of a new strategy of India.
