Six people killed, 22 injured after bus falls into gorge In Leh
Kargil: At least six people were killed and several others were injured in a road accident in Leh istrict of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, at least six people lost their lives and several others were injured after a school bus skidded off the road near Durbuk in Leh district of the territory on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner of Leh Santosh Sukhdev told media men that the bus, which belongs to a school, was carrying staff and at least two children in it, was on way to Durbuk area when it met with the accident.
The DC said six people have died. He added that the rescue operation had been launched and all injured had been shifted to a nearby medical facility for first aid.
He said that the critically injured persons would be shifted to Leh for specialized medical treatment.
