APHC-AJK delegation briefs Pakistan’s Kashmir Committee Chairman on IIOJK situation
Islamabad: A delegation from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter met with the Chairman of the Special Committee of the National Assembly on Kashmir, Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, at Parliament Lodges in Islamabad, today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, led by senior APHC-AJK leader Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, the delegation briefed Chairman Qasim Noon on the deteriorating situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). They highlighted the severe escalation of brutality and oppression following India’s unconstitutional and illegal actions on August 5, 2019, and condemned the extreme state terrorism inflicted by Indian forces.
Chairman Noon vehemently denounced the Indian atrocities in IIOJK and expressed frustration over the international community’s indifference. He emphasized that Kashmir remains the unresolved issue of the Partition of the Sub-Continent, asserting that enduring peace in the region cannot be achieved without addressing this protracted conflict. Noon praised the relentless efforts of Hurriyat leaders and reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to providing moral, political, and diplomatic support to Kashmiris. Noon underscored the Kashmir issue as a significant global concern and reaffirmed the Kashmir Committee’s dedication to advancing the issue on the international stage.
The Hurriyat delegation congratulated Noon on his appointment and recommended the inclusion of Hurriyat leaders in the Kashmir Committee. They urged the Committee to strengthen its role in international forums, including the OIC, to bring greater attention to the Kashmir issue. The Hurriyat delegation included Advocate Parvez Ahmed, Ms. Shamim Shwal, Haji Muhammad Sultan, Chaudhry Shaheen, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, and Abdul Hamid Lone.
