Sonamarg receives season’s first snowfall, rain across Kashmir
Srinagar: While plains of Kashmir witnessed heavy rainfall, higher reaches in Sonamarg received season’s first snowfall, bringing down.
According to Kashmir Media Service, season’s first snowfall was recorded at Sonamarg’s famous trekking spots, including Vishansar and Nichnai.
Most parts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) including Srinagar, the summer capital of the IIOJK, received fresh rainfall Thursday. Fresh wet spell has brought relief from scorching heat and mercury plummeted at most places today.
An independent weather forecaster, Faizan Arif Keng has said that during the next 36 hours, a few other higher reaches are expected to receive fresh snowfall till tomorrow.
