Two Indian CRPF personnel commit suicide in separate incidents across India
New Delhi: Two personnel of the Indian Centre Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have committed suicide in separate incidents across India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Head Constable Vipin Chandra of the CRPF’s 195th Battalion took his own life by shooting himself with his service rifle in Dantewada district, located in the troubled state of Chhattisgarh. The incident occurred within the barracks of the Battalion headquarters, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Barsoor police station.
In a separate incident, CRPF personnel Gulab Singh died by suicide after shooting himself in Baltana-Zirakpur, Haryana. Singh was stationed at the CRPF camp in Behlana, Chandigarh. Police reports indicate that Gulab Singh had been grappling with alcohol addiction and was experiencing emotional distress.
