Tribute paid to Syed Ali Gilani at Kashmir Center in Lahore

Lahore: A special ceremony was held at the Kashmir Center in Lahore to pay tribute to the veteran Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Shah Gilani in connection with his 3rd martyrdom anniversary.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the speakers at the ceremony praised Syed Ali Gilani as a great symbol of resistance who endured hardships and imprisonment but never compromised on his stance. They said that Gilani’s slogan “We are Pakistanis, Pakistan is ours” has become the voice of every Kashmiri.

The speakers also highlighted how India tried to break Gilani’s spirit by keeping him under house arrest, but he continued to fight for freedom until his last breath. They remembered Gilani as a great author, politician, and freedom leader who dedicated his life to the cause of Kashmir’s freedom and accession to Pakistan.

The ceremony was addressed by several prominent figures, including Molana Mufti Shafi Josh, Merajuddin Jaral, Manzoor Hussain Gilani, Farooq Azam, Bilal Ahmed Butt, Nisar Ahmed Beg, Naib Ameer Kashmir Center Naeem-ul-Hasan, religious scholar Allama Mashooq Ahmed Qadri, Raja Abrar, and Nazir Ahmed Mir.
