Indian troops arrest youth in Poonch
Jammu: Indian forces have arrested a youth in Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, personnel from Indian army’s 16 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 38 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) arrested the individual at a joint checkpoint set up in the Potha Bypass area of the district.
The detainee has been identified as Mohammad Shabir. Indian officials have justified his arrest by alleging that he was in contact with pro-freedom activists and claiming that weapons were recovered from him. Such measures are frequently employed in IIOJK as part of a broader strategy to detain more Kashmiris.
