Kargil hails Nasrallah as resistance icon, condemn assassination

Kargil: Thousands gathered in Kargil town in Ladakh region of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to commemorate the martyrdom of Hezbollah chief Syed Hassan Nasrallah, condemning his assassination as a violation of International Humanitarian Law.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) Kargil organized the massive procession, which saw mourners chanting elegies and slogans in solidarity with Palestine and against American and Israeli aggression.

Participants carried flags and images of Nasrallah, echoing calls of “Alwida Nasrallah,” and “Shahadat Saadat.” Sheikh Sadiq Rajai, IKMT Executive Chairman, addressed the crowd, saying, “Nasrallah’s martyrdom signifies the downfall of America and Israel. Hezbollah remains alive and prosperous, while this inhumane act marks a major step towards Israel’s decline.”

The procession began at Hussaini Park, proceeding through Isna Ashriya Chowk, and concluded at Jama Masjid Kargil, where Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai delivered a heartfelt speech praising Nasrallah’s leadership. The Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya, Kargil, also held a fatiha khwani to honor Nasrallah’s memory.

For people in Kargil, Ladakh, which is part of Jammu and Kashmir, Nasrallah is an icon of resistance against foreign occupation, symbolizing courage and resilience.
