India suspends 2 more Kashmiri govt employees

Srinagar: Indian authorities have suspended two more government employees in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, citing absence from election duty as the reason. This move is part of the ongoing wave of suspensions, transfers, and terminations in the occupied territory on one pretext or another.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the suspended employees include Kulbushan Koul, a Head Assistant at the Zonal Education Office Dudu, and Jaswant Singh, a teacher at Government Primary School, Kothi. Koul was appointed as a Presiding Officer for the General Elections but reportedly failed to attend mandatory election training sessions.

This development comes after 21 government employees were suspended by the Chief Electoral Office earlier this month for similar reasons.

The Indian government’s crackdown on Kashmiris has escalated. These suspensions highlight the Indian authorities’ focus on targeting local employees on trivial charges.
