Election official and BJP’s candidate died in IIOJK
Jammu: An Election official and BJP Assembly candidate died in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a tragic incident, Ashok Kumar (55), an employee on election duty died after suffering a heart attack during the third and final phase of voting at Nanga polling station in Ramgarh Assembly constituency of Samba district.
The deceased was an officer of the Mining Department was currently on election duty in Samba.
In another incident, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Surankote constituency, Syed Mushtaq Bukhari aged 75, passed away at his residence in Pamrote, Poonch district.
The deceased was promoted the BJP agenda by dividing Jammu Kashmir people on regional rights slogan and joined the BJP in February 2024.
