Waheed Parra concerned over deteriorating horticulture industry in IIOJK
Srinagar: People’s Democratic Party Youth President Waheed ur Rehman Parra expressed concern over horticulture industry in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, citing administrative dysfunction and negligence.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Parra in a statement issued in Srinagar slammed the horticulture department for its failure to address challenges, including outdated storage facilities, inadequate infrastructure and environmental pollution.
He stressed the need for infrastructure upgrades, pollution control and proper market facilities to safeguard livelihoods. Parra warned that without swift action, the industry, which sustains the local economy, risks collapse, threatening thousands of families’ livelihoods.
