Another case of blasphemy surfaced in India, two Hindu leaders booked

Lucknow: Another blasphemy case has emerged in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh, where leaders of the Bajrang Dal made derogatory remarks about the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

According to Kashmir Maida Service, this is second incident during the week in which Hindu extremists were hurting Muslims in India.

A case has been lodged against two leaders of Hindu extremist Hindu muscle group Bajrang Dal over their alleged derogatory remarks against Holy Prophet during a public meeting in Pilibhit area of Uttar Pradesh, the local police said.

The accused have been identified as Sanjay Mishra and Vivek Mishra, both leaders of hardcore Hindu extremist Bajrang Dal.

Police revealed that the complainant filed by Afzal Khan, the incident occurred on October 13 in Madhotanda town here.

“It has been alleged in the complaint that during the meeting, the Bajrang Dal leaders Sanjay Mishra and Vivek Mishra delivered speeches that were perceived as inflammatory and offensive to the Muslim community,” said Circle Officer Puranpur Vishal Chaudhary.

Angered by the “derogatory” remarks, few people of the Muslim community gathered in Madhotanda town to condemn the incident. However, local authorities intervened and pacified the situation and assured them of appropriate action.
