Mirwaiz describes Seerah competition at Srinagar Jamia Masjid as remarkable event

Srinagar: A prize-distribution ceremony of a Seerah competition was held at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing on the occasion described the event as a remarkable event, bringing together over 500 students from various maktabs of Shahre Khas.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq congratulated the organizers, Maktaba Maseehul Ummah, for their commendable efforts and praised the volunteers and sponsors for their valuable support in making the event a success.

He emphasized the essential role of mosques and maktabs in fostering faith and knowledge, stressing that mosques should not only serve as places of worship but also as centers for learning and character building. He urged that more events like these be organized to promote Islamic knowledge and the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) among the younger generation.

Highlighting the significance of following the Prophet’s teachings, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq stated that the best response to those who attempt to hurt our sentiments by speaking against the Prophet is to embody his values and follow his Seerah.
