Rehmani condemns Amit Shah’s malicious intentions to rename Kashmir
Islamabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter senior leader Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has condemned Indian Home Minister Amit Shah’s malicious and unhistorical interpretations and intentions to rename Kashmir with Maharishi Kashyap.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad, today, said that the India leaders and rulers of Hindutva mentality should please their gods and demons in their Indian temples and shrines, but never try to demolish the age-old non-communal and secular culture and traditions of Kashmir to meet their nefarious political ends and designs.
He stated that the Hindutva rulers of India were believing in Hindu mythology aimed at thrusting the same over the Muslim majority Jammu and Kashmir by having a pernicious mentality to foment controversy over Kashmir’s ancient historical name of thousands of years, which stood as a symbol of unity and solidarity during the Hindu and Muslim periods and was never ever contested by any Hindu or Muslim ruler.
He expressed his concern over how the Indian Hindu rulers, worshipers of gods, demons or cows or snakes were creating fuss among the people of Kashmir on the basis of wrong references and interpretations of history while the basic design was to root out Islam from Kashmir.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani urged all the political parties and Muslim and non Muslim- community leaders to remain united and frustrate Indian leader’s designs against the Kashmir history and culture of religious unity and solidarity.
He also appealed to the UN Secretary General to prevail upon India, against their ulterior motives of rechristening Kashmir and erasing “Kashmir ” from the world map.
