Hindutva extremists vandalise mosque in Bihar
Patna: In yet another incident of Hindu extremism in India, Hindutva extremists vandalized a mosque in the BJP-backed JD(U)-controlled state of Bihar.
According to Kashmir Media Service, tensions erupted in Manglapur village, Champaran district, after Hindutva extremists barged into a mosque, causing significant damage to the religious property, which enraged the local Muslim community. A video that surfaced on social media shows broken prayer mats, fans, and lights scattered across the floor.
The incident has sparked widespread condemnation and anger among the local Muslim community. Local police stated that additional forces have been deployed in the village to manage the escalating tension due to the desecration of the religious site. The police also mentioned that the situation is now under control.
On social media, people have questioned the Bihar government and police over the incident, demanding swift action to punish the perpetrators and prevent further unrest.
